Massage @ Trayah
Here at Trayah, I focus on remedial and sports massage encompassing mainly myofascial, trigger point and myotherapy techniques. I am a firm believer that to affect change with muscles, it is first necessary to release the fascia within which the muscles are held. If appropriate, other forms of massage techniques will also be used. Each massage is specific to the individual and created following thorough history taking and visual, range of motion and orthopaedic assessments. My aim is, wherever possible, to address the source of the problems not just treat the symptoms. As a result, I do not carry out full body treatments - I focus on supporting you to resolve issues.
As a professional Remedial Massage Therapist, I am highly trained to assess and treat muscle, tendon, ligament and connective tissue (fascia) dysfunction in order to support your body back to wellness. This is carried out through a range of techniques including but not limited to soft tissue manipulation, trigger point therapy, myofascial release/stretching, METs, dry needling, myofascial cupping, joint mobilisation and passive stretching.
At Trayah, I offer bespoke treatments that are perfectly tailored to address your specific health and wellbeing requirements. I don’t have a generic to-do list that we tick off for each appointment. Your health is YOUR health. No two bodies are the same.
I am also a Blue Card Holder and am able to support under 18s who may need assistance with sports related injuries or postural imbalances.
So, if you are in pain or your body aches, your injured, or you're suffering chronic health (like fibro, CFS, arthritis) or your movement is restricted, or your posture imbalanced, you may be injured or training for an event and need your body in peak performance.... book in today by clicking here!
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
This therapeutic treatment is a gentle massage with a purpose – to stimulate the lymphatic system and increase the movement of lymph fluid around the body. This accelerates the elimination of excess water and toxins from around the body leading to a host of improvements to health.
MLD is highly successful in treating chronic fluid retention around the body, swelling of limbs pre/post-surgery (medical/cosmetic), Lymphoedema, Fibromyalgia, Lupus, CFS, Depression and Anxiety, recurrent infections, cellulitis, supporting weight loss and hormonal/emotional imbalances.
Here at Trayah, I am a referral partner with Lymphoedema Queensland and am a registered Level 1 Practitioner.
Please note that, should you have a diagnosed medical condition, you may be requested to obtain medical clearance for massage from your GP/Specialist to bring with you to your first appointment.

The Trayah Way…
Your First Visit
The first time you visit me, I ask you to lock in a 70-minute new client appointment. This is to allow assessment of your health and to find out exactly what type of treatment will produce the best results to treat the source not the symptoms. For a manual lymphatic drainage massage, however, please book in a 90 minute new client appointment.
Initially we’ll chat thoroughly about your health history, the reason for your visit and what your expectations are surrounding treatment. For remedial/sports massage, we’ll then go through a postural assessment followed by a short series of orthopaedic and range of motion tests to help me discover any muscle or joint disfunction within your body and allow me to start putting together a treatment plan for you.
Depending on your treatment plan, for remedial massage, you may be introduced to a range of different techniques but after each appointment, we will revisit the range of motion assessments to make sure that what we’re doing is actually benefiting you, and you’re not paying unnecessarily.
As much as I try to tailor our treatment to your body, there is always the chance that you are suited to a different type of therapy, as with every health treatment.
If this is the case, I will be more than happy to recommend you to another specialist/practitioner. My number one priority is your health and your improvement. I also work closely with fantastic orthopaedic specialists, exercise physiologists, PTs, chiropractors and physios and, if you need it, I can enlist their support for you. I will NEVER continue to take your hard earned money unnecessarily and hold you in treatment.
This is the Trayah difference. I care about you and your health above all else!
